What to buy in Colombia: Coffee

Posted by on August 3, 2011

You know I used to think that this coffee was called Juan Manuel coffee only to find out that I was wrong all this time. That’s what happens when you don’t drink coffee. I just buy these things to give away as gifts to friends and family, not for my own personal consumption since I don’t drink coffee at all.

You can buy this coffee in any major Colombian airport especially in Bogota’s international airport.

Another alternative if you can’t find Juan Valdez is Sello Rojo café. Generally, locals drink Sello, noted for its red packaging as Juan Valdez is too expensive for the locals and marketed more towards the foreigner in mind.

I’ve been told that Juan Valdez tastes very different like people thought that they were drinking coffee and tea at the same time but yet, it tasted really good. I’ve already been proposed several times by various different people to get bags of this coffee for them. I guess it is that damn good to drink.
