Yes, it’s another world class, famous football team for the eyeballs to see. Even though I’m a FC Barcelona fan, I still had to go to the Real Madrid game in another well-known venue known as Santiago Bernabeu Stadium or in short, the Bernabeu. This stadium is not only the home stadium for Real Madrid, but it has also hosted a ton of events such as the World Cup, Champions League, and European Cup.

People say that it’s an ugly piece of architecture from the outside but inside, it’s a different story! But I agree that outside, it’s just another bleh building. I think I said the same thing when I went to Madison Square Garden in New York City.

I have to agree… the inside is a lot different from the outside. It’s much better and nicer. Never judge a stadium by its outside skin.
So why did I, a Barcelona fan, go to this Real Madrid game? Well, I wanted to go and see it for myself. That way I can say that I went to both famous teams, to their games and stadiums. And also, to watch the world’s best is always a treat because you never know what kind of scouting that you might have to do to get up one-up on the competition. During this game, I noticed that several players would do great in the Barca system should they ever come over to Camp Nou one day.

I was thoroughly enjoying the front row seat at the Real Madrid game! Up close and personal! It felt good to be sitting there thinking that I was one of Madrid’s rich and elite!

The Real Madrid team warming up. You can see Ronaldo with the ball in the middle there.

Another Real Madrid player who is famous… Toni Kroos. He also plays for the German National Team.

Ronaldo was staring in my direction making me wonder if he was directly looking at me…? Or probably at some fantastic-looking girl who was sitting a few rows behind me.
I always wonder about the Lionel Messi-Cristiano Ronaldo dream… both pairing up together at FC Barcelona and this could have happened in the early 2000s! The Barca team at the team had a up-and-coming nucleus as well that would have formed a great team culture, playing style, and were still young meaning that the players could have grown up together to become master champions at Barcelona.

Cristiano Ronaldo was that close to me! Just a few meters away from my front row seat! Just imagine if he joined FC Barcelona during the early 2000s to join forces with Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Pique, Valdes, Puyol…. Barca would have dominated Champions League for many years, having complete and absolute monopoly on the trophy with no one ever getting a sample!
Was it worth going to the Real Madrid game? Sure was. Would I go again? Probably not… unless FC Barcelona is playing against them!
